GDPR and Information Security - Fundamentals for Staff

GDPR and Information Security for Staff: The Basics of Data Protection and Privacy

Welcome to our online training session on GDPR and Information Security, designed to equip you with the basic knowledge and skills to navigate the complex landscape of data protection and information security.

As you may know, GDPR is legislation that outlines how organisations must protect the personal data of individuals within the UK and European Union (EU). Non-compliance with GDPR can result in significant fines and reputational damage for businesses. Therefore, it's essential for companies to undertake annual training on GDPR to ensure that they understand the latest requirements and comply with them.

In just 30 minutes, our online training will cover the basics of GDPR, including:
- what personal data is
- the principles governing the use of personal information and
- the lawful basis for processing personal information.

You will also gain an understanding of individual rights under GDPR and how to comply with them.

Our training is updated annually to ensure that it reflects the latest developments in GDPR.

In addition to GDPR, our training session covers the essentials of information security, including how to keep data secure, prevent data breaches, and respond to security incidents. You will learn how to safeguard confidential information, such as customer data, and keep your organization safe from cyber threats.

Upon completion of the assessment, you will be able to print a certificate of attendance, which can be used to demonstrate your knowledge of GDPR and information security to clients, colleagues, and employers. This can be particularly important for organisations that handle sensitive personal data or operate in industries with strict regulatory requirements.

If you prefer a more interactive experience, we also offer live sessions once a month, where you can ask questions and engage in discussions with our expert trainers. Our trainers have extensive experience in GDPR and information security, and can provide valuable insights into how to comply with the legislation effectively.

Enroll now in our online training session on GDPR and Information Security and become confident in your knowledge of data protection and information security.

With annual training, you can ensure that you stay up-to-date with the latest developments in GDPR and protect your organisation from costly fines and reputational damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need to train my staff?
Data Protection Legislation requires that staff processing personal information are aware of their obligations. It is recommended that staff receive training when they start work with you and then at least annually.

Why do you cover information security?
As well as know about Data Protection, it is important that staff understand how to protect that information and report any data breaches.

How long is the training?
The training is 35 minutes but you can stop it at any time and come back to it when its convenient for you. You have access to the training for 30 days.

Why do you provide live training sessions?
We all learn in different ways and some people are happy to sit in front of a screen watching a vidoe whereas others learn better when it is interactive. That's why we present the training live, every few weeks so you can ask questions and take part in an interactive session.
